Today our reading strategy was Prior Knowledge. Students needed to ;look at an image and write at least 5 things that they already knew about the image.
Prior knowledge is when students make connections to the text they are reading, and as a result, their comprehension increases.
It is where a student uses what they already know to help understand something new.
They had 10 minutes in which to do this. Here are some of the results.
